Cardiff Castle

Before departing for Goodwick / Fishguard, Wales for the ferry to Ireland, we have a couple of hours to explore. We stored our luggage near the train station and made our way to Cardiff Castle.

In the middle of Cardiff, the capital of Wales, lies an incredibly immense property encompassing the castle itself

The grounds are perfectly manicured, the castle is in impeccable condition.

Our visit to Cardiff Castle was a wonderful glimpse into the layers of history at the heart of the city. With a train to catch and Fishguard still ahead of us, it was time to leave Cardiff behind and continue west toward the coast.
